Jon Dounchis MD

Dr. Dounchis has practiced in Naples, FL for 24 years. 

As one of the first surgeons to perform knee and anterior hip replacement surgery with the Mako robotic system, the team at NCH has developed expertise over the past 15 years and thousands of cases. As a research center, NCH maintains the latest robotic equipment and technology.

Dr. Dounchis has been a leader in the design, development and surgeon education for the partial knee, total knee and anterior hip platforms. He actively publishes research and regularly serves on the faculty at robotic conferences. He is committed to education and has trained thousands of surgeons worldwide in robotic techniques.

Dr. Dounchis provides the full range of care for arthritis & cartilage injuries to the knee, hip and shoulder. In the earlier stages, patients often benefit from biologic treatments including injections (stem cell, amnion, prp) or arthroscopic repair procedures. He has 30 years experience including both clinical and basic science publications in biologic non-replacement treatments. For patients with prior replacements, Dr. Dounchis is an expert in complex revisions.
